The Friendly City's Random Acts of Kindness Challenge

Port Elizabeth has long been branded South Africa's "friendly city". As with many things in life, it is so easy to take something for granted. Taking for granted that someone will be feeding that wondering child in the street; that someone will stop next to the road to help an unfortunate lady change her car's flat tyre; the list goes on.

The Health Centre in Cape Road would like to team up with the Port Elizabeth community to spread the love, and perhaps make our little contribution in reminding the rest of South Africa why Port Elizabeth is called the friendly city! We challenge you to make a meaningful contribution to the Port Elizabeth community and to challenge your friends to follow suit.

Here's how it works:

1. Head on over the Health Centre's "Friendly City Random Acts of Kindness Challenge" event page

2. Select "Attending"

3. Post the Event to your own profile

4. Tag the 5 friends that you would like to challenge

5. Do you your Random Act of Kindness, and make it count!

6. Post your story to the Even page - we can all do with some inspiration

Examples of RAK's:

- Ask that elderly lady if you can carry her grocery bag!

- Feed a homeless person

- Make that contribution to charity that you've always wanted to do

- Pick a flower and give it to someone who seem to need cheering up

- While you're busy with your own, mow your neighbour's lawn

- Have some empty water bottles filled and take it to one of the many collection points in town

- Give up your seat

- Give up you lunch

Let's get this show on the road and hopefully inspire someone to do good!
